As a young boy one of my formative experiences was as an altar server at St. Stephen's parish church, Barbourne, Worcester. I dimly recall that in the early days, before the liturgical innovations of Series 1,2 and 3 (!) a small mass book entitled, I think, The Altar of God. In it we would pencil our serving instructions. I have tried to track this book down but in vain. Do you or any of your members have any recollection of this book? I would be grateful for any help!

Hello Tim, I wonder if you remember me in the RN Chaplaincy Service?

I think that the book you are referring to must be the small blue book we all had entitled An Altar Book for Servers published, I think, by Mowbrays. I have two around the house.
