Ite Missa Est

It was pleasant to hear Ite Missa Est sung at the end by the Deacon or Concelebrant at the Midnight Mass from Westminster Cathedral at the Christmass, cant we adopt this practice for our festal masses?

At G.S.S. Easter Festivals in recent years the Deacon of the Mass has sung the Ite Missa Est but in the 'language understood by the people'. The Warden.

The dismissal is generally sung at the Epiphany and Easter Festivals - the latter with the double alleluia.

I think that would be a very agreeable thing to do.

It would be good to see Reader members robed at our Masses and a place for them included within our liturgy.
Often Readers are side lined within "Anglo Catholic" circles.
