David was a Life Member of the GSS. He served at the Altar at St James the Great, Colchester.

Dad walked from his home at 4 Acland Avenue, Colchester to his Dentist in The Avenue, Colchester on Wednesday afternoon, 13th December, and collapsed and died in the street there just before reaching the Dentist's.

As well as being an active Altar Server right up to his unexpected and sudden death (he served the Saturday Morning Mass each week and on many Sundays and Festivals, especially enjoying being Thurifer).

He was also a member of the Chelmsford Diocesan Synod for many years up to his death and had been Churchwarden at St James the Great for 24 years from 1972 to 1996. He coordinated all the Restoration Work on the ancient Church of St James the Great and gained funds from many sources to facilitate it. He loved climbing onto the church roof to identify with the architect what needed doing and coordinating the work!

His family (wife Pamela, daughter Sue, son Mark, and  his grandchildren - Abby, Imogen, Nathanael and Angharad) would welcome your prayers for David.
